1 min read

The gritty streets of New Jersey have once again reverberated with the rap-infused hardcore essence of Bayway, as they unveil their vehement new single, “Stretchin Tha Truth” on September 28, 2023. This raw destroyer features the fiery vocals of Ant Money from E. Town Concrete, adding a layer of rugged authenticity to the narrative. A narrative that takes no prisoners when calling out the pretentious bravado often flaunted by some, yet lived by few.

The new track comes out a couple of months after our special track by track commentary, posted HERE.

This release is a prelude to their full-length LP, “World Of Bayway II”, slated for an October 27 release through DAZE and RTF Records. The album is a tempest of beatdown hardcore, laced with the raw aggression that Bayway has become synonymous with. It’s a dozen tracks of unyielding energy, interspersed with classic skits that serve as a brief respite before plunging back into the aural onslaught.

Stretchin Tha Truth” is a critical examination of pretentious bravado, spotlighting the gap between words and action. It’s a no-holds-barred critique encapsulated in rhythmic fury, and you can delve into its aggressive beats here.

The unique selling point of “World Of Bayway II” is not just its uncompromising sound, but also the self-sufficiency demonstrated in its creation. The album is birthed entirely in the creative womb of vocalist Jay Way’s studio, The Soap Factory, showcasing the self-produced, mixed, and mastered marvel that it is.

The LP houses four brand new ferocious tracks, alongside two pieces from “The Newport Sessions” released earlier in 2023, and the entirety of 2022’s “World Of Bayway” album. It’s an amalgam of fresh ruthlessness and nostalgic aggression, available for pre-order in limited vinyl and cassette editions through DAZE and RTF.

Bayway has also announced their live performance on October 20 in Toronto, ON, a date that fans of hardcore rap-infused beats would want to mark.
