Best Records & TV Shows by Hardcore pack REALITY SLAP

1 min read

No year-end roundup would be complete without a look at the albums we all listened to and loved over the past 12 months, and we’ve finally acknowledged the need to take part and give you not one, but a number of recaps by some of our collaborating labels and artists we utterly trust. There are plenty to choose from, so it’s a nice exercise to see what releases deem to be our guests’ favorite records of the year. Read on for the REALITY SLAP‘s vocalist Johnny’s picks for best albums and TV Shows of 2017 and feel free to cast your vote in the comments section at the bottom of this page for your favourites!

Limitless by Portuguese hardcore quintet REALITY SLAP is available now via WAR Records. Combining the best of old-school aggression with a modern hardcore vibe, the band‘s songs are full of tight riffs, heavy grooves, and they always pack a massive punch. Recorded at Eyeball Studios in Portugal. Limitless bridges the influence of DMIZE, Outburst, Breakdown, Cro-Mags, and Bad Brains mixed with modern bands like Turnstile, Backtrack, Down To Nothing, and Terror.

Here’s how the band’s frontman Johnny remembers the passing year:

Reality Slap’s highlights of the year were the release of the “Limitless” EP and the ‘You are part of this tour’ tour and meeting a bunch of cool new people.

Next year we’re finishing writing and record our next LP, so we’re pretty excited for that. We start the year with an European tour in January.

Bring on more positive vibes and groovy riffs!

Here are a few things we liked, in no particular order, that came out in 2017. I’m sure we missed a lot of other cool stuff and if you did too, maybe you’ll find something nice in this list.
