BLACK SABBATH to continue their reunion without Bill Ward

1 min read

The remaining members of BLACK SABBATH have announced that they will proceed their new album and tour without drummer Bill Ward, who made a surprising statement last Thursday.

Black Sabbath issued the following statement in response to Ward’s departure:

We were saddened to hear yesterday via Facebook that Bill declined publicly to participate in our current Black Sabbath plans…we have no choice but to continue recording without him although our door is always open… We are still in the UK with Tony. Writing and recording the new album and on a roll… See you at Download!!!

– Tony, Ozzy and Geezer

The new Black Sabbath album will be the band’s first to feature original material since 1995’s “Forbidden” and their first with Ozzy on vocals since 1978’s “Never Say Die!”. The tour will also mark the band’s first public appearance in over five years.
