The Canadian heavy hitters, A Mourning Star, have just unleashed their debut album, “A Reminder of the Wound Unhealed“, and it’s an absolute banger. Brought to you by DAZE, this record is where the old school meets the new, and boy, does it deliver.

The album serves a fresh plate of six new tracks, followed by a revamped and remastered serving of six songs from 2022. Drawing inspo from legends like Poison The Well and 7 Angels 7 Plagues, the band is serving some serious old-school metalcore vibes with a twist of intricate melodies.

Hats off to Andre Urquidi for the killer recording sessions in Vancouver, and big ups to Chris Dimas and Adam Cichocki for their mixing and mastering magic.

Elijah Robinson, the voice behind the band, gets deep about the album, sharing, “A Reminder of the Wound Unhealed is about confronting and honoring pain. Every lyric is a piece of my soul, expressing some of the most challenging moments of my life – dealing with PTSD, guilt, and the journey of healing.”

Oh, and if you’re looking to catch these guys live (and trust us, you do), they’re hitting the stage soon. Keep an eye out for their gigs from Vancouver to Tulsa. Rock on!
