Danny Carey hopes TOOL’s new album will be released this year

1 min read

Things are getting a bit confusing in the TOOL camp. Maynard James Keenan stated earlier this week that they had no plans to release their long-awaited new album this year, but drummer Danny Carey told New Zealand’s The Rock FM that he’s hoping it could arrive within the next few months.

He states:

Sometime this year … that’s all I can say. The sooner the better for us. We’re working every day but you can never predict it, honestly. We’re really excited about it, so I hope all the fans will be too.

Whenever the new TOOL album is released, it will be their first one since “10,000 Days“, which came out way back in 2006.
