French instrumental rockers MAJJ release debut record ‘Motion Bloom’

1 min read

French instrumental rock band MAJJ have just dropped their debut record called “Motion Bloom”, a fine attempt at instrumental post rock, with a focus on simplier, more rockish riffs. As a body of work, the record is a pleasurable mix of driving rhythms and meandering interludes, but it kind of lacks direction. That isn’t to say that this offering isn’t worth a check as both songwriting and esthetics have the potential to sound a lot bigger . But what’s lacking is better production, some more focus on song structures and consistency. With so many talented artists these days, it just has to be near perfect to keep the listener interested. Good luck, guys!
