Glasgow hardcore pack KINGPIN streaming new EP in full!

Featured on IDIOTEQ back in 2013 and once again in 2014, the naughty boys from KINGPIN are back with some new uncompromising mixture of metallic hardcore, beatdown and crossover. The “Truth” was released in late September and it can be downloaded for a minimum donation of £3, with all money we receive for downloads being donated to the UNHCR, a charity which will then put that money towards help with shelter, healthcare, food, education and more for refugees. Don’t be a douche – grab your copy through the player below and contact the band express your praise via Twitter (@Kingpin_Glasgow) or Facebook.
About the band:
KINGPIN have been around for about two years and already put out a self-released demo tape in 2013, followed by a 7″ vinyl release titled “They Serve Themselves” via Germany’s Demons Run Amok label last year. “TRUTH” is the follow up to “They Serve Themselves”. The band play a combination of fast thrash parts you can circlepit to and slow breakdowns you can mosh to, influenced by all sorts of metal and hardcore bands including Suicidal Tendencies, Leeway, Sepultura, Crowbar, Merauder, Pantera, Cro-Mags, Biohazard, S.O.D., Sick Of It All, Nuclear Assault and loads more, KINGPIN have played up and down the UK and Ireland several times, including shows with some of our favourite international touring bands such as Sick Of It All, M.O.D., Twitching Tongues, Iron Reagan, Negative Approach, Bane, Toxic Holocaust, Code Orange, etc.

The band commented:

I’m sure there are many pessimistic smartarses keen to point out that any money we raise from this digital release is hardly likely to make a MASSIVE difference to the big picture of the current refugee crisis, but it might make a small difference and even that is better than a physical release for which the money received would only go towards paying for itself and not really making ANY difference to the rest of the world at all.

Anyway, if you’re looking to add more neck-snappingly fast and bone-crunchingly heavy crossover riffs to your music library AND give a small donation towards helping out fellow humans then this is one way to do just that!
