GLASSING Inleashes A Haunting Descent Into The Other Side of the Mirror

Emerging from the creative cauldron of Austin, Texas, GLASSING has once again shattered expectations with their fourth studio album, “From the Other Side of the Mirror,” released under Pelagic Records. Known for their formidable blend of post-metal, sludge, and black metal, the trio’s latest offering plunges listeners into a metaphysical labyrinth of sound that both reflects and distorts.

“With this record, we stripped away the familiar,” says frontman and bassist Dustin Coffman. “Our aim was to forgo convention for the sake of raw, unfiltered expression.” The result is an album born from what the band refers to as ‘Hell Weeks’โ€”intense periods of creativity that have forged a record as unrelenting as it is introspective.

“From the Other Side of the Mirror” is an artefact. The band has released a limited run of 200 clear vinyl copies, each accompanied by unique artwork, making it a collector’s item.

Additionally, 100 cassettes along with exclusive merchandise like tote bags and shirts are available, ensuring that fans can experience the album in a multitude of formats.

The album kicks off with “Anything You Want,” a track that sets a high bar with its powerful dynamics and Coffman’s gripping vocal performance, ranging from haunting whispers to blackened screams.

Guitarist Cory Brim and drummer Scott Osment complement Coffmanโ€™s vocals with intricate melodies and robust rhythms that challenge the boundaries of their genre.

Tracks like “As My Heart Rots” and “Defacer” push into even more aggressive territory, while “Sallow” and “The Kestrel Goes” offer a somber respite, showcasing the bandโ€™s ability to weave dense, atmospheric layers of sound.

Each song is a journey through the distorted reflections of our own perceptions, as if caught in a hall of mirrors, with every riff and scream revealing another shard of the fractured self.

The band invites fans to join them at a series of listening parties and live shows, promising an immersive experience into their darkly intriguing world. Upcoming tour dates include stops in major cities such as San Antonio, Austin, San Diego, and Los Angeles, with special performances alongside bands like THIS WILL DESTROY YOU and KNUMEARS.
