Graham Coxon says there will be a new BLUR album

1 min read

BLUR guitarist Graham Coxon recently told NME that they are planning to record what will be their first studio album in about a decade. In a couple weeks, Blur will be honored with the Outstanding Contribution to Music award at this year’s Brit Awards.

In regards to the Brit Awards and a new album, Coxon states:

It’s pretty nice to be getting the Brit award. We haven’t planned the rehearsals yet, but there will definitely be another Blur album.

The band, who are perhaps best known for their 1997 hit “Song 2” (aka “Woo-Hoo!”), haven’t released any new material since 2003’s “Think Tank”.
