The Dogs of Hope arrives August 1, 2025, via Iodine Recordings. The compilation features 14 tracks—13 of them exclusive to this release—ranging from previously unreleased material to music recorded specifically for this project. It’s a fundraiser for the Randolph County Animal Shelter, a no-kill facility in Wedowee, Alabama, which has saved thousands of animals despite operating without any public funding or support.
Curated and designed by industry veteran Tom Bejgrowicz, The Dogs of Hope includes contributions from hardcore and post-hardcore staples like Snapcase, Deadguy, Killswitch Engage, Jeromes Dream, Orange 9mm, and Enforced. Walter Schreifels bookends the tracklist with acoustic renditions of Pink Floyd’s “Pigs On The Wing,” offering a nod to the compilation’s namesake and emotional anchor.
The album’s fourth track and an interesting Zero Tolerance cover, “Back To Square One,” marks a new chapter for Snapcase, clocking in at just over two minutes. It’s sharp, fast, and cuts straight to the kind of concise intensity that defined their earlier work—showing they still know how to channel urgency without theatrics.
Snapcase vocalist Daryl Taberski commented: “The recording that Snapcase made for The Dogs of Hope is a cover song by the band Zero Tolerance called ‘Back To Square One.’ This band and this song are really important to Snapcase. Zero Tolerance are considered the forefathers of Buffalo hardcore and we wouldn’t exist as a band if it wasn’t for them.”

The release was mastered by Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Quicksand, Joyce Manor) and features cover art by Jeremy Dean (Green Day, The Rolling Stones, The Bronx). Bejgrowicz, who began volunteering at the Randolph County Animal Shelter in 2020, emphasized the purpose behind the project: “This isn’t about changing the whole world. It’s about changing a world—one animal at a time.”

Every cent of net profit from The Dogs of Hope—both physical and digital—goes directly to the shelter. That includes proceeds from limited edition vinyl, digital downloads, merch like the Comfort Colors t-shirt, and even dog sponsorship packages. Many of the dogs featured on the album artwork have been long-term residents of the shelter, some waiting as long as four years for adoption.
The physical editions of the album ship on or around August 8, 2025. A limited splatter vinyl run is still available, though the orange and blue smash variant has already sold out. The compilation is available exclusively as a full-album download, with individual tracks not sold separately.
In addition to the music, Iodine is offering direct ways to support the animals through sponsorships of the dogs featured in the album’s visuals. More information about adopting, volunteering, or donating can be obtained by contacting [email protected].
