The band offered the following about the track:
Lyrically, this song is about one of my all time favorite video games, DOOM. I was stoked when they released the newest one(2016). I’ve always liked the imagery of Hell and Mars blending
together. In the newest version the Space Marine is part of a line of alien knights (kinda like reincarnation). This song is supposed to be a prophecy based on some of the totems you come across in the game. Each one had a rather lengthy story about the Doom Slayer and his conquest of Hell. – Aaron (Vocals)
Hell Walker is the second track on the record and continues the look into our band with furiously wondering riffs and then a melodic chorus. It also brings out the aggressive sound with some sweet grooves laid down by the drums and bass. The bridge brings in an off beat break and leads you into an almost throwback breakdown. – Michael (Guitar)
“Fiction” was recorded in Austin with Andrew Hernandez (The Sword, Mammoth Grinder) at Estuary Recording Facility. Digital master by Simon Sludge (Nightmarer, War From A Harlots Mouth), and vinyl master by Alan Douches of West West Side Music. The vinyl edition of “Fiction” will be pressed on transparent deep purple with royal blue and yellow splatter 7″. Artwork done by Alexandre Goulet (Despised Icon, Meet the Mailman). This sophomore release from The Bearer features concept songs based on science fiction movies, books, TV shows and video games such as Dune, Blade Runner, The X-files, and Doom.
