Comments the label: “The trio plays wonderfully constructed, driving, angular, post-hardcore/noise-rock along the lines of Life In Vacuum, Blue Youth, and The Holy Shroud, mixing wonderfully done singing with coarse yells and the occasional scream. This album was actually recorded many years ago but due to recording issues, deaths, a pandemic, and general the album wasn’t released until 2021. It was more than worth the wait. Easily one of the best albums of the year.”

After a couple mysterious years, Rome’s SECT MARK are back with some new mangle. Seattle based Iron Lung Records has shared the band’a new offering dubbed “Promo MMXXI”, originally released digitally by he band on September 18, 2021.

Originally released as a micropressing of just 30 copies by the band themselves as a promo tape to hawk at K-Town Virus Weekend in August 2021. Sadly the band could not make it to the show so Iron Lung Records has made this essential piece of razor sharp nasty hardcore available to a wider audience. At the time of this release, Sect Mark is finishing up the writing/recording for their next LP which promises to be even more insane than previous releases. We’ll let you know when it’s ready so enjoy these three new songs and a bonus Nerorgasmo cover in the meantime. Sick.

Thanks to all the guys for joining in with the fun and to Scott Atkins for mixing! Eternal gratitude to the all the members of Slayer and we wish everyone a Merrytory Yuletide!”

Chicago street punk hardcore band THE KREUTZER SONATA have shared their new album “Cradle to the Grave”:

In another episode of the Spencer Elden vs NIRVANA lawsuit, the baby pictured on the cover of Nevermind has received a harsh response from the band’s estate.

According to Billboard, on Wednesday in a new filing at U.S. District Court in Central California, the Nirvana estate posted: “Elden has spent three decades profiting from his celebrity as the self-anointed ‘Nirvana Baby’. But the Nevermind cover photograph was taken in 1991. It was world-famous by no later than 1992. Long before 2011, as Elden has pled, Elden knew about the photograph, and knew that he (and not someone else) was the baby in the photograph. He has been fully aware of the facts of both the supposed ‘violation’ and ‘injury’ for decades.”

“Elden’s claim that the photograph on the Nevermind album cover is ‘child pornography’ is, on its face, not serious,” the Nirvana estate also said. “A brief examination of the photograph, or Elden’s own conduct (not to mention the photograph’s presence in the homes of millions of Americans who, on Elden’s theory, are guilty of felony possession of child pornography) makes that clear.”

The initial suit filed by Elden came a month before Nevermind‘s 30th anniversary. Elden is seeking $150,000 from each party named in the suit.

In other NIRVANA news, Dave Grohl revealed his top 15 NIRVANA songs.

American beatdown hardcore pack CAPO KONG strikes back with heavy new tune “Blood Money”.

“After dropping a killer 2 track demo back in July 2021 these Conneticut based Beatdown guys have built a solid reputation around the scene in a short time with their brutal live performances leaving people battered & bruised and their singer Matt urging on the violence with cries of “Death to False Beatdown” before ripping in with vicious lyrics to back up the crushing soundtrack that is CAPO KONG !!” – comments Australian label 1054 Records.

Having signed up with 1054 Records back in September “Blood Money” is the first single off the upcoming debut EP set for release early in 2022

“Strap yourself in & get ready for some of the most ignorant & brutal Beatdown Hardcore you will find anywhere on the planet” – concludes 1054.

Following up on their latest single “Phantom Pain”, SAVING VICE is back today with their new single “Dying To Watch”. The track is completely independently produced and takes elements from their early music while also showcasing them experimenting with some new sounds.

Fans who were introduced to the band with songs like “Never Knows Best”, “Black Ice” and their Binary EP will find something to like about the track.

Fictional characters’ stories have been inspiring Saving Vice’s songwriting since their start back in 2017. They’ve been taking overarching themes from video games to anime to movies and including them as part of their narrative. “Endgame” features lines from Marvel’s Infinity War, “I don’t wanna go” and the video for “Phantom Pain” was inspired by Evangelion for its overall aesthetic and feel. This new track is no different.
