Indie punk rockers TALK SHOW HOST release new EP

1 min read

One month after their recent cover of TRAGICALLY HIP’s 1998 hit “Fireworks”, Canadian power pop punk rockers TALK SHOW HOST are back with a full stream of their new EP, assimilating ever-vibrant influences into their own approach. “Not Here To Make Friends” hits on a formula that works well for decades now and these guys know exactly how to carry it. Listen below.

“Not Here To Make Friends” EP was engineered by John Dinsmore (PUP, THE STRUMBELLAS) at Lincoln County Social Club in Toronto, and mixed by Olive t’Servrancx-Bierman (Skip the Use’s Matt Bastard) of Electrik Box Studio in France.

Chris, TALK SHOW HOST’s vocalist and guitarist commented:

“This is our third release in a little under a year and a half, and this time around we felt the songs needed a bigger, fuller sound. We booked a few days in the studio with John Dinsmore, who engineered the last PUP record, and the resulting EP is a little like 2017 itself: louder, angrier, and with a weird mixture of hope and despair thrown in for good measure. Hopefully it’s way less terrifying. And, like, way more catchy.”
