As Impose mag editor Meredith Schneider warns, the song “will chill you to your bones” and ranks as a contender for “the most mosh-worthy composition you may have ever laid ears on.” Bold yet accurate, Schneider’s words only begin to paint the picture of KNIFE HITS‘ white-knuckle-intense brand of screamo-grind, rooted in the fiery, bleeding-heart sounds of early CONVERGE, ORCHID, and PG.99. Debut album Eris was recorded and mixed by Jonathan Nunez of Torche, and mastered by Nick Zampiello (MODERN LIFE IS WAR, UNSANE), and will see its release on September 16th via three labels: Dead Tank Records (digital, vinyl), Hydrogen Man Records (vinyl) and Give Praise Records (vinyl).
Formed in Orlando, Florida in 2011, and relocated to Philly and Chicago, KNIFE HITS onsists of members of grind-punkers BACKSLIDER, and ex-members of KHANN, REPUBLICORPSE, and more.

“Five-piece hardcore/punk/screamo band Knife Hits… will chill you to your bones. The most mosh-worthy composition you may have ever laid ears on.”
–Impose“Knife Hits just might be our new favorite band… Intense and blistering, this stuff hits you hard, crushes your heart, and is done in fifty-two seconds… It’s all killer; it’ll set your ears on fire.”
–Nerdist
“Stop-start dashes of Orchid worship, building on that screamo framework to find its own approach to controlled chaos… Akin to the likes of Loma Prieta, another group that’s mined ’90s screamo and found harmony within that chaos.”
–The AV Club“The brutal/intense side of screamo, veering into grind, along the lines of Orchid, Pg. 99, early Converge and Discordance Axis.”
