IZAH unleashes the “Indefinite Instinct”

November 27, 2014
1 min read

The CD format of this effort is expected to be released in February and the double LP is expected in April. Check out the official word below and dive into this muddy, yet melancholic and revitalizing pond below.

Read my interview with IZAH at this location.

IZAH takes elements of sludge, noise, hardcore and post-rock and blends these into a dark and gloomy mix of heavy riffs, downhearted melodics and densely layered sound dynamics.

The album has in fact been finished since the beginning of this year, but it took a lot of time to find a good home for it. We didn’t want to release this album on our own again, we felt that it deserved more attention. ‘Sistere’ was produced by our good friend Jochem Jacobs (former Textures guitarist) and he really lifted the record to a higher level. Also the songwriting has progressed on ‘Sistere’. So we wanted this album to get more attention by releasing it through a solid label. The search however for a label that was truly on the same wavelength as us turned out to be a hard and very time consuming one. We’re glad it’s now finally over and weโ€™re very excited to release our album ‘Sistere’ through Nordvis Produktion, a record label that has come to be known for embracing progression in heavy, atmospheric and melancholic music. Nordvis has proven to be an inspiring home for genuine artistry many times and weโ€™re truly honoured to be part of it.
The tracklist of ‘Sistere’ is:
1. Indefinite Instinct (13:30)
2. Duality (15:58)
3. Finite Horizon (11:36)
4. Sistere (31:07)
A picture of the cover artwork (made by Twan Bastiaansen) is in the attachment and here’s some more info from the Nordvis website.
