KEHLVIN / FLESHWORLD split streaming in full

April 12, 2015
1 min read

This split tells the story of a struggling mathematician through five, interwoven tracks (three by Kehlvin and two by Fleshworld), which musically navigate between the angry, breathe taking yet melancholic doomy post-metal from FLESHWORLD and the more noise infused prog-sludge from KEHLVIN. Smart heaviness and brilliant writing, this is what this album is all about!

Split

“We’re all familiar with math rock and math metal, but how much rock and metal has actually been written about math? For all your number crunching fun, we’d like to turn your direction towards To Deny Everything That’s Mundane, a split release set to be imminently dropped like a weighty textbook of epic proportions into the laps and pocket protectors of those of you who like your metal on the noisier side of the spectrum.” – Decibel Magazine

The two bands met together during a Kehlvin tour, back in 2013. Two years later and the result is the release of a split album between the two bands entitled “To Deny Everything That’s Mundane”, which will be released. Showing how far Kehlvin are able to go with their music and including more noise rock influences, these three new songs show how the band is still pushing its musical vison further; and how Fleshworld found their own niche, incorporating elements from, post-metal, hardcore, black metal, screamo and various other genres. Nihilistic and raw, but energetic and eclectic.

The concept of the album revolves around science, various philosophical problems one encounters and dissatisfaction with certain beliefs. It tells the story of a struggling mathematician throug h five, interwoven tracks (three by Kehlvin and two by Fleshworld), each regarding a different stage of the subject’s life.

The is out now on white 12’’ 180g vinyl in collaboration between Division Records (CH), Unquiet Records (PL), Grains of Sand Records (RU), Dingleberry records (DE), and Dullest Records (US).
