KOYO announce Mile A Minute EP, share “Ten Digits Away (Deluxe)”, loads of Tour Dates coming up

2 mins read

Koyo has announced the release of their new EP Mile A Minute, due out November 12, 2024, via Pure Noise Records.

Following up on the success of their debut full-length Would You Miss It?, the Long Island band returns with a three-track EP showcasing their signature blend of punk, hardcore, and emo.

One of the tracks, “Ten Digits Away (Deluxe),” was reimagined from their previous work and released today.

The song retains its core emotional impact but offers a fresh, stripped-back version. Vocalist Joey Chiaramonte explains how this track, initially released two years before Would You Miss It?, deserved renewed attention. The band aimed to breathe new life into the song with love and care, crafting an intimate rendition rather than a simple acoustic version.

“‘Ten Digits Away’ was a song that spawned out of that early pool of Would You Miss It? songs, and it instantly felt like a gold standard Koyo track. We ultimately made the choice to release it as a standalone single almost two years ahead of the record, since we knew it would stand on its own merits. Now over two years later, and year out from releasing WYMI?, we’ve found the original version of the song has been a little overshadowed by our newer music, lost in the algorithmic shuffle prioritizing newer music, and by proxy even our own record. In an effort to give a perfect Koyo song a little more deserved time in the sun, ‘Ten Digits Away (Deluxe)’ is our little stripped down, swagged out, redux solution. Not a lazy acoustic rendition slapped together just because, but a true effort of tender love and care to celebrate a milestone track in a new light. We hope everyone feels the love and attention to detail when they listen.”

In addition to “Ten Digits Away (Deluxe),” the Mile A Minute EP includes “I Might Not Get Through All of This” and the title track “Mile A Minute,” which marks Koyo’s first entirely new song since their debut album.

Chiaramonte highlights how the EP reflects their current state of mind and musical journey, offering a real-time snapshot of where they are creatively.
