Melodic hardcore punk metalheads LA ARMADA from Chicago are about to emabark on their second European tour. The band will appear at some of the main punk and hardcore summer festivals, such as KNRD Fest, Brakrock Fest, Punk Rock Holiday, Tells Bells and Festa di Radio Onda d’Urto and at shows with their friends Propagandhi in Spain.
Interviewed for IDIOTEQ last year, LA ARMADA made their way into their fans’ hearts thanks to their signature latino infused hardcore punk sounds, along with their outspoken and clever political message. These five guys are ready to set stages on fire in Germany, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Italy and Slovenia, dropping their bombs of heavy music and conscious lyrics with a sidedish of pure live entertainment for all lovers of heavy riffs and pounding rhythms.
Their album “Anti-Colonial Vol. 1, out via Creep Records (US) and Epidemic Records (Europe), is a call for resistance in reaction to increased visibility and power in the hands of the “alternative right”, religious extremists and white supremacists in the United States and worldwide.
La Armada is a mix of wild, sharp and heavy riffs, angry vocals, irresistible breakdowns; a thrash / hardcore / punk crossover with politically meaningful lyrics. With this album they toured as a opening act for Propagandhi, Iron Chic, Belvedere, Satanic Surfers, and just recently with Sick Of It All. An explosive sound, ready to detonate. Europe: get ready!
