North Carolina’s hardcore pack Magnitude has just dropped their new single “Of Days Renewed“, marking their much-anticipated return after a four-year hiatus. With a fresh energy, the straight-edge group is all set to release their sophomore album, aptly titled ‘Of Days Renewed…‘, slated for a September 15th release via Triple B Records.

Following their previously released track “Rectify”, the newly unveiled title track boasts of anthemic choruses, driven by commanding riffs and Russel Bussey’s robust vocals. Accompanied by a Derek Rathbun-directed video, viewers are treated to Magnitude in their full-fledged energetic performance mode.

Diving into the song’s essence, vocalist Russel Bussey elucidated, “’Of Days Renewed‘ is an anthem for those feeling adrift or defeated. Through my personal battles, I’ve strived to convey the resilience we often muster, anchoring our spirits on better days. The track encapsulates the drive to overcome and the commitment to forging ahead.”

Debuting with a self-titled demo in April 2017, Magnitude swiftly followed up with ‘Era of Attrition EP’ in October the same year. Their maiden album, ‘To Whatever Fateful End’, released in May 2019, carved a niche for them, leading to extensive tours across North America, Europe, and Japan.

Their upcoming album, ‘Of Days Renewed…‘, merges Magnitude’s foundational sound with experimental heavy riffs. A testament to their close-knit bond, the album saw a combined effort in its creation. It was self-produced, recorded in various studios and homes, and then polished to perfection by John Howard at Warhouse Recordings, Gainesville, FL. The outcome? An album drenched in ’90s metallic vibes, complemented by catchy, sing-along verses. The lyrics touch on a plethora of themes, ranging from self-introspection and environmentalism to the digital era’s psychological challenges. Through ‘Of Days Renewed…’, Magnitude’s goal remains clear: to channelize aggressive energy into positivity, both on and off the stage.

Magnitude’s lineup features Russell Bussey on vocals, Connor McAuliffe on drums, Matt Kalbaugh and Anthony Burke on guitars, and Alex Cejas on bass.

Magnitude is also gearing up for live performances, with shows scheduled in Brooklyn and Philadelphia in October.
