The journey that the trio take their listeners on with “III” boasts more moods than their previous releases and ultimately, it’s some of their most powerful work yet. They may evoke some old sounds, but these vicious tracks are about the present, and “III” isn’t a stylistic exercise: it sounds like a compelling commentary to bleak modern times.
