NJ screamo / post hardcore band BURIAL DANCE unleash brilliant, thunderous new record “Structures”

1 min read

New Jersey‘s quartet, BURIAL DANCE, returns with their newest release, “Structures“, on Moment Of Collapse Records, and today we’re beyond stoked to give you an early stream of this behemoth of a release. Featuring current and ex-members of Au Revoir, The Saddest Landscape, Capacities, and A Film In Color, BURIAL DANCE successfully blends the atmospheric elements of post rock with the heavy and chaotic elements of screamo on this one-sided 5 song LP. “Structures” has many exceptional moments that transcend its time and influence, built upon the dizzying array of emotions and atmospherics. What a rewarding listen!

A musical extension of the 2019 self-released single, A Shadow / A Vessel, “Structures” encapsulates the band‘s intense, yet forward thinking approach to heavy music without sacrificing the melodic aspects of their sound. While A Shadow / A Vessel looked inward to topics of identity, loss, and regret, “Structures” looks outward to the structural shortcomings of the social, economic, and political infrastructures in the US. Created by the exploration of intertwining melodic passages and heavy dissonant riffs, the captivating sonic narratives of “Structures” should not be missed.
