NYHC band COMBUST shares new single, new album coming up on Triple B Records

COMBUST have a new album titled Belly of the Beast, set to drop on March 7 via Triple B Records. It marks the band’s second album and fourth release overall, recorded at Landmine Studios with Zach Miller. The result is twelve tracks of straight-up hardcore—heavy riffs, bouncy grooves, and a thick vocal delivery.

The record features a solid cast of guests from TERROR, MINDFORCE, CROWN OF THORNZ, DMIZE, IMPOSTER, and rapper ROME STREETZ, giving it a communal feel that extends beyond the band’s New York base.

The lead single “Our Own Breed” is out now. It’s a catchy display of COMBUST’s hardcore mindset, merging stomp-ready sections, a few tempo twists, and direct lyrics. Vocalist Andrew Vacante explains the track’s focus on people looking to exploit the scene:

“Older people who were never a part of this culture or scene try to come in and complain or use it to their benefit just for profit or a resurgence in their washed up pathetic past. Weird social media figures try to backpack off our shit just so they can boost their views and they hop in and hop out and use bands for numbers and clicks. This song is for the ones who reject them.”

The track adds extra weight with a guest spot from IMPOSTER’s Rory O’Neill, whose sinister vocals sit right alongside Vacante’s New York grit. “Our Own Breed” follows the two-song promo COMBUST dropped in Fall 2023, which introduced fans to their signing with TRIPLE B RECORDS.

COMBUST will play Brooklyn’s Meadows on January 18 alongside MINDFORCE, MEYHEM LAUREN, and GRIDIRON. More appearances include LDB, UNITED BLOOD, TIED DOWN, and HOUSE OF DISORDER later in the year.
