1 min read

The high-octane, fierce hardcore punk outfit from the Northeast USA, Pain of Truth, is poised to shake the hardcore scene with their highly-anticipated debut LP, “Not Through Blood,” slated to hit the airwaves on September 8th, 2023. The record, promising 11 tracks of unadulterated, hard-hitting hardcore reminiscent of the likes of Terror, Hatebreed, and Madball, was recorded and mixed by Andy at Bricktop Studios during the winter of 2023, with mastering carried out by Bill at Azimuth Studios.

Renowned for their electrifying live performances and evocative lyricism, Long Island’s Pain Of Truth has swiftly climbed the ranks to become a standout act in the hardcore scene of the twenty-twenties. The forthcoming album, “Not Through Blood,” marks a significant progression from their 2020 EP, “No Blame…Just Facts,” and their 2021 split with Age Of Apocalypse, showcasing a sharper and more potent sonic attack. Today, the band premieres their new power track “Under My Skin,” featuring Criminal Instinct.

Michael Smith’s attitude-filled vocals meet with the gruffness of Criminal Instinct’s Josiah Hoeflinger for an intense dual vocal attack. The song marks the second single, following “Actin’ Up,” from Pain Of Truth’s debut full-length Not Through Blood set for release September 8th on DAZE.

Pain of Truth is celebrated for their embracement of the hardcore ethos of community, reflected in their incorporation of multiple guest vocals in their work.

No Blame…Just Facts” included six guest contributions, while “Not Through Blood” takes this collaborative spirit up a notch, featuring an impressive roster of thirteen guest vocalists.

The album boasts features from hardcore luminaries such as Freddy Cricien of Madball, Scott Vogel of Terror, Justice Tripp of Trapped Under Ice, Vinnie Caruana of The Movielife, Jay Peta of Mindforce, and Brendan Garrone of Incendiary, amongst others.
