Birmingham’s melodic darkwave / post-punk act THE VIOLENT HEARTS (members of SHARKS) have debuted a new 7″ ‘Porcelain World/Hex On Me’, available today on Roosevelt Records! With the band’s imagination and attention to detail, the 2-tracker uses familiar textures in a smooth way that refuses to reiterate the past. You can literally hear it in these tasteful tracks.
Following the disbandment of Sharks (RiseRecrods) JamesMattock, CarlMurrihy and former ‘Computers‘ band mate AidanSin began work on new music under the name of TheViolentHearts. After a self release EP in 2014 the Birmingham’s gentlemen are back with a brand new EP « Porcelain World / Hex On Me » on RooseveltRecords. A perfect mix of power-pop and post-punk infused with the spirit and romanticism of The Only Ones, Buzzcocks and The Chameleons.
