Portuguese hardcore band REALITY SLAP release new video for “Blaze”

1 min read

Portuguese hardcore band REALITY SLAP has premiered the newest video for the track “Blaze,” which hails from the band’s recently-released Limitless EP.

Combining the best of old-school aggression with a modern hardcore vibe, REALITY SLAP‘s songs are full of tight riffs, heavy grooves, and they always pack a massive punch. Recorded at Eyeball Studios in Portugal. Limitless bridges the influence of DMIZE, Outburst, Breakdown, Cro-Mags, and Bad Brains mixed with modern bands like Turnstile, Backtrack, Down To Nothing, and Terror.
Issues the band with the new video,
“We felt that ‘Blaze’ would be a perfect song to start the record with after the intro. It has a lot of dynamics, and it’s a great bridge between the old REALITY SLAP and the new. Lyrically it talks about friendship and how some people can connect strongly no matter how far they might be from each other. Sharing the same views and energy, emitting the same light, and giving you a light you can follow through dark times.”

Loudwire, who premiered the clip, posts with the video,
“Clocking in at just 70 seconds… REALITY SLAP accomplish a lot, opening up with a clanking, spotlight bass lick and rapid-fire rhythms. Blurring the lines between hardcore, punk and crossover, the quintet tear through pit-ready breakdowns, amplified when the members go airborne.”

Following the massive You Are Part Of This Tour 2017 across Europe with Deez Nuts, Comeback Kid, First Blood, Hellions, and more in February, REALITY SLAP is booking additional tour dates, with several festival shows and more confirmed.

4/28/2017 Lisboa Ao Vivo – Lisbon, PT w/ Parkway Drive, Hills Have Eyes
7/05-08/2017 Resurrection Fest – Viviero, ES w/ Rammstein, Rancid, Agnostic Front, Snapcase, Terror
