RENOUNCED bring back good old metalcore vibes with great new track & video “In A Years Turning”

1 min read

UK’s RENOUNCED just dropped a new song and video called “In A Years Turning” and the band’s upcoming album “Beauty Is A Destructive Angel” just become one of the most highyl anticipated metallic hardcore / metalcore records. Slated for a September 27th release via Holy Roar Records, the LP marks their third full length offering. “Self Inflicted”, another new track from the record, was premiered earlier this Summer, and you can check it out at this location.

Speaking about the video, vocalist Daniel Gray says,

“The video is shot where the band formed, at our drummer’s parents house. His parents are now selling it and it felt right to shoot a video there before it went. The video is half shot using a thermal imaging camera.

The reason for this being, I wanted to make a point that we are all made of the same flesh and blood, all going through life learning and growing. The white-hot flames represent the burning off of our old selves and becoming something new from the ashes. “

Lyrics:

In the terror of my own inner hell, I wept into the arms of tomorrow
Dear heartache I thought, oh how lovely to see your face again
I believe it was around the same time last year?
Oh well, it’s just another process, it’s just another process of healing
However, for the record, I believe you are making a mistake
Maybe we do have a future but for now, I can’t wait for you
So I will carve out my heart and watch it turn to stone before my eyes It’s just another process of healing
In another years turning
