RESPIRE to tour Europe, California, Northeast US amid a decade of boundary-pushing heavy music

Toronto’s Respire, known for blending intricate orchestral arrangements with the urgency of emotional hardcore and the raw edge of black metal, has revealed their 2024 tour schedule.

The Canadian collective, celebrated over a decade for challenging the confines of heavy music with four critically acclaimed LPs and a steadfast DIY ethos, is set for rare and first-time U.S. shows alongside a return to Europe.

Their West Coast debut will open in California with shows at Fret’s Music in Riverside (Feb 18), Che Cafe in San Diego (Feb 19), and a stop in Tijuana at Moustache Bar (Feb 20).

In May, the band embarks on their fourth European tour. Scheduled stops include Zegema Beach Records Fest in Chicago on May 3 and a string of European dates.

Respire’s latest album, Hiraeth (Dine Alone Records), is noted for its genre-defying composition and serves as a manifesto on the immigrant experience—a narrative that resonates as global challenges continue to evolve.

The tour, encompassing both familiar and new territories, reinforces the band’s commitment to pushing boundaries without compromise.
