I’m extremely proud to present you the newest, fourth release by Italian dark, chaotic hardcore sludgers from RISE AFTER DEFEAT! “Adrift” (StrikeDown Records) marks the new chapter for the band and brings in even more intense and nihilistic emotions, all wrapped up in this scary-as-shit package. Here we are. After we’ve released our latest ep “Pragmatica” in mid 2012, we started writing the new chapter in the band’s history and we entitled it “Adrift“!
The songwriting began in October 2012 and ended in June 2013.
During those months life held us bad surprises, things that unfortunately we all have to face sooner or later. Some of our beloved ones passed away, leaving us with a deep hole to fill, some radical changes to face and tough working environment situations.
We nearly reached the bottom, and yeah it definitely inspired us, probably it changed us all.Life has marked with fire the four members of this band: our relationships got stronger and tied us in a whole unique entity called RAD.
All these experiences, the negativity, the nihilism and the awareness that mankind is responsible for the rotten world we live in, where pieces of paper are valued more than ideals, gave birth to “Adrift”.
ADRIFT is a 10 songs full length album recorded in July 2013 @ Sonus Ville Studio (IT) mixed in August 2013 by Roland Weigner (Alpinist & More) @ Die-Tomensterei Studio (Oldenburg, DE) and mastered in September 2013 by Magnus Liendberg (CULT OF LUNA & More) in Sweden.
ADRIFT Lp will be released digitally by the band in October 2013 and in a limited cd and 12″ vinyl version via StrikeDown Records between October and November 2013.
