Santa Barabara band DO YOU COMPUTE brings up a sentiment reminiscent of the post hardcore 90s with new single and music video

DO YOU COMPUTE (formerly Stringer Bell) are releasing their debut full length via Killer Kern Records (label mates with If It Kills You) and today we’re stoked to give you their first single “Dismemberment Trend”, accompanied by a video below.

The video was made by Josh Eymann (brother of Tim Eymann and drummer of their former duo Easter Teeth).

“It was filmed in our practice space as well as at some of our favorite locations around town in Goleta, CA.” – says the band.

DO YOU COMPUTE brings a little mathy, fidgety and angular vibe, a late 90s / early 2000s influenced post hardcore in the vein of Drive Like Jehu, These Arms Are Snakes, Frodus, The Jesus Lizard, etc.

The record is sent to press now and should be available in the fall courtesy of Killer Kern Records.

“Meanwhile, we are chipping away at Southern California.” – comments the band.

Asked about their plans for the coming months, the band says that their next shows are June 3rd at Whiskey Richards in Santa Barbara and June 17th at the Corbin Bowl in Tarzana, CA

The band’s debut singles Lured to Death band I Can’t Tell were released back in 2020:
