Screamo bands Barabbas, du förtappade and ONLY share new split release

Barabbas, du förtappade, the screamo band from Stockholm, Sweden, have unveiled their new split with ONLY, a Berlin-based screamo band with Italian influences.

This collaboration is available for streaming and download via Bandcamp, with a limited vinyl edition of 300 copies featuring unique packaging that includes 3D glasses.

The vinyl release is supported by a coalition of ten labels: Dancing Rabbit Records (DE), Dingleberry Records and Distribution (DE), ZilpZalp Records (DE), Entes Anomicos (DE), Shove Records (IT), To Lose La Track (IT), Fresh Outbreak Records (IT), See You Next Summer! (SE), Salto Mortale Music (SK), and Friendly Otter (US).

Barabbas, du förtappade (Cesar on drums, Francisco on guitar, Theo on bass, and Seva on vocals), known for their raw screamo aesthetics combined with noise rock, hardcore punk, and post-rock influences, recorded their tracks with André Ampuero in October 2023.

The songs were mixed by Will Killingsworth at Dead Air Studios and mastered by Riccardo Pasini at Studio 73 in Italy.

ONLY
ONLY

ONLY’s side of the split, recorded at Failsafe Editions in Kaos, Berlin by Francesco de Dominicis, features Giulio Daverio on vocals, Massimo Capobianco on drums, Keir Rodan on guitar and backing vocals, and Cesar Gutierrez on bass and backing vocals.

Their music was mixed by Massimo Capobianco and mastered by Riccardo Pasini.

The release is supported by extensive touring. Barabbas, du förtappade will be on tour with Jornada del Muerto, hitting Sweden, Germany, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Hungary, and Poland.

ONLY

Their debut record “Discussions on Existentialism” was released in 2023, following their debut EP “Discourse” (2017) and a split release with the German band Кальк (Kalk) in 2020. The new songs from this split will be performed live during their summer tour.
