SHOOK ONES pay tribute to Billy Bragg – perform live version of “Ebb and Flow”

In honor of the repress of their 2006 record Facetious Folly Feat SHOOK ONES are bringing a “deep cut” out of their archives. Together with Revelation Records, the band just premiered their 2022 live take on the song “Ebb and Flow”.

“Ebb and Flow was our attempt to pay tribute to one of our favorite song writers, Billy Bragg, and while we may or may not have hit the mark, the song certainly stands out as something a bit unexpected.” – comments the band.

“We’ve been known to play it from time to time at shows (usually if someone is fixing a gear issue) but it’s been a long time since the last go-around, so it was fun to shine a little light on it for the latest repress of our 2nd LP.”

New pressing of the album is now available on translucent blue vinyl.

Comments Revelation Records: “Scott Freeman once again lends his trademark vocals that have been compared favorably to Lifetime vocalist Ari Katz, with a unique note of political and personal thought, moving in directions not often aimed for by such tuneful bands. It’s rare for a record to have the charisma that “Facetious Folly Feat” does, but even rarer when a record defines the aggression, heart, and passion of hardcore music without trodding on beaten trails. With this effort, Shook Ones show they are more than capable of sharing their passions and pains with the world, and most importantly, doing it in their own way.”

Revelation Records is a record label that was founded in 1987 and is based in Huntington Beach, California. The label was originally focused on releasing records by hardcore punk bands from New York, such as Warzone, Sick Of It All, Gorilla Biscuits, Bold, Youth Of Today, No For An Answer, and Chain Of Strength. In the early 1990s, the label moved to California and has continued to release records by hardcore and punk bands with roots in the hardcore/punk scene.
