There’s a certain joy in discovering great bands before they become more popular. We experienced it here on IDIOTEQ with a number of amazing artists repping many different genres and encouraging you to listen to new exciting music with open ears and no reservations becomes of the greatest jobs in the world. Today is no different. Clermont-Ferrand, France based indie punk rock act YOUNG HARTS just announced their cooperation with Eternalis Records, Asso Page Blanche, Joe Cool Records, Kanardage Records, Crapoulet Records, Bad Health Records, Dingleberry, Timtamrecords, Bad Mood Asso, Fireflies Fall, Opposite Prod, Fond of life Records, Pencil Records (tape version) and Inhumano Records (check out our recent interview HERE), and we’re thrilled to give you an exclusive first listen of their energizing new single “Singled Out“! Pre-order the full record “Truth Fades” at this location, expect the full release on October 6th, and now, check out the new song below.
YOUNG HARTS‘ galloping offering perfectly reflects their impatience and voracity. Some would evoke, in the theory, an indie rock with imprints a little punk but labels and other influences, they sway, it is the spontaneity of their compositions that defines them best.
The purpose of this recording was to release something spontaneous, without retouching or big production. No compression was used during the recording in order to let live instruments and compositions.
Lyrics:
This time I feel like I’m singled out.
Head high, reason that I’ll think about.
Right now, bleeding from my only heart.
Still sour, present here from the start.Head down, freak I’m suffocating.
Don’t frown, bleak we’re separating.
So tired, nothing is relating.
I’ll sit down now sleep forever waiting.
Get back up still forever waiting,
Get back up still forever waiting.Bring back the feelings that I felt last night.
Laid back staring at you out of spite.
On my own I’m breaking through these boundaries.
For my own, I reason with these temporaries.
The cover shows their city, Clermont-Ferrand, with the volcano Puy-de-Dome in the background. It’s weird to have this picture as a cover because they are used to this view, but they think it will appeal to people who do not know their region.
Truth Fades was recorded in 3 days at the Magic Studio in St Peray by Nicolas Eschalier in drôme and mastered by Thibault Chaumont at Deviant Lab.
