Sludgy, hardcore spirited post-metal band KOLLAPS/E streaming new massive 2-tracker

Introduced on IDIOTEQ in September 2020, Helsingborg, Sweden based post metal band KOLLAPS/E have shared their new 2 song single dubbed “The Pandemic Sessions”. Equally focused, atmopsheric and vicious, the record comes as another great teaser of what’s to come from the band, and today we’re pleased to give you the band’s special comentary for each of the two crushing hard-hitters.

“The Pandemic Sessions single came about during the covid lockdown.” – says the band. “Since everything shut down we had to take matters into our own hands. Not being able to book studiotime we decided to try to make it ourselves.”

For the band’s lyrical content, for the most part it revolves around different social commentary,”but trying to stay away from outspooken political views.”

“I want those who read the lyrics make up their own mind. And to take from them what the want.” – comments vocalist Daniel Wallenborg.

The 2 tracks are recorded at home and all the members had to record their part separately. Then we had to assemble it and make them into a finished product.

“It was the first time we had to mix and master on our own. Besides making pre production we’ve never made anything that would sound as a professional put together production.”

“And the experience has been priceless. For our upcoming recording it would be nice to be able to just get a studio, but if the pandemic persists we might have to do it ourselves again. But this time around we will know the pitfalls.”

Radiant//Static

Is about the way we view the world through our screens. Everything that is written is considered truths. No criticism, towards the lies, propaganda and conspiracies.
Its has become the perfect way to manipulate us the people and keep us in the dark. Misinformation and divide.

Murrain

The title is an old english word for cattle plague. And my reference to cattle in this case is mankind. We exploit and pauperize our resources only to leave it in ruins. The plagues throughout history has been in favor of population control. And as is with the ongoing pandemic. Man-made or not.

And the current situation is also used as a shift of world power. Where fear is the leader.
