SUMAC, KYLESA, PAGENINETYNINE, and more revealed for Roadburn 2025

Roadburn Festival has just unleashed another wave of artists for its 2025 edition, adding 19 names to an already diverse lineup.

Among the new additions are the crushing force of SUMAC, the haunting experimental folk of ØXN, and the dark collaboration of DE MANNEN BROEDERS. These acts will join the previously announced CHAT PILE, KYLESA, and ALTIN GÜN, promising a visceral and boundary-pushing festival experience.

Walter Hoeijmakers, Roadburn’s visionary artistic director, shared his thoughts on this year’s lineup: “Each year at Roadburn, we bring together the artists who challenge the limits of their craft and those of their genre. For 2025, we continue this mission, navigating the fragmented underground to create something cohesive and transformative. This announcement represents the voices we want to amplify and the energy behind Roadburn’s curation for the coming year.”

The full list of new additions, presented in alphabetical order, includes:

Roadburn

BLACK CURSE: Hailing from Colorado, this blackened death metal band will summon raw, diabolical chaos in Tilburg.

CHOKE CHAIN: Dark electro and contemporary industrial from Chicago, delivering heavy, unsettling beats.

CINDER WELL: Combining folk melodies with a DIY punk background, offering a deeply atmospheric and emotional performance.

CONCRETE WINDS: Finnish auditory annihilation, bringing unrelenting sonic brutality.

DE MANNEN BROEDERS: A collaboration between TONNIE DIELEMAN and COLIN VAN EECKHOUT, blending dark experimental soundscapes.

DENISA: Indonesia’s melancholic singer-songwriter, weaving haunting melodies with deep emotional resonance.

FAETOOTH: Self-dubbed “fairy doom” from Los Angeles, merging ethereal sounds with crushing doom riffs.

FIRE!: The avant-garde trio of MATS GUSTAFSSON, JOHAN BERTHLING, and ANDREAS WERLIIN, pushing the boundaries of experimental jazz.

HUMAN IMPACT: Industrial rock with hooks, featuring members of UNSANE and COP SHOOT COP.

LKVGT: From the Dutch underground, delivering filthy, unforgiving death metal.

NEW AGE DOOM & TUVABAND: A collaboration blending Canadian experimentalists and Norwegian ethereal soundscapes.

ONE LEG ONE EYE: Raw, experimental noise from Ireland, fusing chaotic energy with folk elements.

ORA COGAN: A psychedelic fusion of folk and Americana, creating a sweet yet haunting sound.

ØXN: Experimental folk featuring the eerie, powerful vocals of RADIE PEAT and KATIE KIM.

PAGENINETYNINE: Hardcore legends from Virginia, bringing their iconic chaotic energy.

PONTE DEL DIAVOLO: Turin’s occult metallers performing their debut album, Fire Blades From The Tomb, in its entirety.

STRESS POSITIONS: Chicago’s electrifying hardcore four-piece, making their highly anticipated Roadburn debut.

SUMAC: Returning to perform their contemplative masterpiece The Healer in full, offering deep, immersive heaviness.

THE HIRS COLLECTIVE: Shapeshifting punk rock fury, backed by a dynamic collective of collaborators.
