Over a month since the premiere of their meaty new jam “Seized Asylum”, German sludgy rock/metal act CAFFEINE are back with the full stream of their debut LP “Serac”, and we’re thrilled to premiere it in its full glory below!
CAFFEINE consists of members of Perth Express, Glasses, Problem Is You, The Pyre, and their own brand of apocalyptic, monumental, devastating, and at the same time very listenable post hardcore, rock and metal delivery proves that after many years of evolving through heavier offerings, the band has taken their identity in their own hands and reshaped it into something very worthy. Think of an intense mixture of Coliseum, Doomriders, old Mastodon, and Neurosis, and dive into it right away!
“Even though Caffeine works different compared to our former bands musicwise in some songs, the band remains ‘punk’ contentwise: the lyrics are dealing with discontents we’re forced to get along with. Indeed we tried to have a more subtle and crytic approach in the process of writing lyrics and music on ‘Serac’. I guess the song ‘Seized Asylum’ is a pretty good example for this attempt.“
