This Charming Man Records is an independent label from Münster, Germany, and vinyl is its main focus. Its 100th release was “Be Kind”, a 2018 EP by the German post-hardcore band The Tidal Sleep, who had been with the label almost from the start and said in a 2014 interview that it was their label “by choice”.
It works mostly with German bands. Münster’s Criminal Body, formed by members of Alpinist and Jungbluth, released their debut 12″ there in 2018, the year Hannover’s Caffeine put out their first album, “Serac”, and Munich’s Oakhands went through their 2020 debut album, “The Shadow of Your Guard Receding”, song by song in an interview. It has also been the European label for records released in the US by others, among them The Death Set’s “How To Tune A Parrot” in 2021. In 2026 it released “Future Is Calling” by the Antwerp crossover thrash band Toxic Shock, whose previous album had also come out on the label, in 2017.
