Swiss melodic post hardcore band WINDSHELTER drops new song & video

1 min read

WINDSHELTER is a melodic hardcore/post-hardcore band from Switzerland, near Geneva, established in 2014. After releasing their first EP Closure in 2016 and a few shows, the band was forced to take a break for personal reasons. In 2019 and with a new lineup, the band released a new single Reflection which led them to their first tour between Switzerland and France (early January 2020). After their very first tour, they have decided to mutually part ways with the lead singer Alex and welcomed Seb as the band’s new frontman. Their new powerful song “Same Blood”, produced by Lewis Johns (Employed to Serve, Rolo Tomassi, Svalbard), is the first teaser of their new album, to be released later this year.

look at yourself in a mirror, your tongue is like a knife.
look at yourself in a mirror, hurting countless lives.

I refuse to stand in a world of suffering
itโ€™s time to display the misery.
we will forgive, but we wonโ€™t forget.

we all run the same blood, inside our veins
when the light hits the prism, colours are revealed.
we run the same blood, inside our veins
the same blood.

look at yourself in a mirror, hurting countless lives.

sleepless and tired of screaming in a void
seeking for peace and running in circles.

weโ€™re left alone
screaming in vein
waiting for peace
in a world of pain.
