Liège band Daggers have spent their catalogue moving between hardcore punk, metal, noise, garage and psychedelic music. Their recording history repeatedly favours the pressure of the band playing together, with tracks captured in a live recording setting.
The 2014 IDIOTEQ interview around “It’s Not Jazz, It’s Blues” caught the band stretching crust-informed hardcore into a heavier punk-metal mixture. Nearly a decade later, “The Fable of the Bees” brought six rougher, more direct tracks recorded live. That method remained part of the 2026 EP “El Mundo Kaput”, a three-song release on Shield Recordings.
