Desperate Infant Records operates in Hong Kong as both a record label and a record shop. The shop carries a broad range of independent music; the label’s own releases and co-releases move through hardcore, emo, punk, post-rock and adjacent DIY scenes.
IDIOTEQ’s clearest examples come from cross-border screamo releases. Istanbul group Jornada del Muerto released “One Last Flower” with Desperate Infant among five participating labels in 2021. MEO and French one-person project Gros Enfant Mort appeared through similarly distributed label groups. In 2025, emo/screamo band TWINS brought Desperate Infant into another international co-release documented in our weekly releases roundup.
