THE GASLIGHT ANTHEM return with new single “Positive Charge”

1 min read

New Jersey’s beloved The Gaslight Anthem have made a triumphant return with their first single in nine years, ‘Positive Charge’. The single comes as a precursor to their upcoming US summer tour dates, including a massive hometown show supporting The Misfits and an appearance at Four Chord festival. Check out the full list of dates below.

Lead vocalist Brian Fallon explained that the track is meant as a message of joy, as it encourages fans to look towards the future with an open heart and to believe that their best years are yet to come. Grounded by an assertive guitar-driven rhythm, the track presents a candid, intimate lyricism that strikes a chord with fans.

Fallon’s melodies lift “Positive Charge” to soaring heights, with the refrain “I need a spark/ I need a positive charge/ Plug it into my veins/ Make me love this life again” ringing out with an undeniable sense of rejuvenation.

The new single marks the first release on Gaslight Anthem’s own Rich Mahogany Recordings label, distributed via Thirty Tigers. The band has also announced that they are currently working on their sixth studio album.
