The same classic, but with a fresh new vibe – WAR Records announce a reissue of Witness a Rebirth by STRIFE

1 min read

Strife has been a prominent figure in the hardcore scene since their inception in 1991. Their first LP, One Truth, was a breakthrough success, but it was their second album, In This Defiance, that solidified their position as one of the most influential and aggressive bands in the genre. The album included guest appearances from iconic musicians like Chino Moreno, Iggor Cavalera, and Dino Cazares, and it helped bridge the gap between hardcore and metal.

For their third album, Angermeans, Strife explored new sounds and styles that went beyond the typical boundaries of their genre. However, in 2012, Strife returned to their roots with the release of Witness a Rebirth, their fourth studio album.

The band recruited their friend and previous collaborator Iggor Cavalera to perform drums on the album, which was produced by Nick Jett.

Witness a Rebirth was highly acclaimed by both fans and critics alike, and it marked a triumphant return to form for the band.

As Witness a Rebirth celebrates its 10th anniversary, WAR Records has released a brand new reissue of the album. The remastered version, handled by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, breathes new life into an already iconic album. Additionally, the reissue features brand new artwork by Jeremy Dean.
