“Blissfucker,” TRAP THEM‘s highly anticipated follow-up to their underground masterpiece “Darker Handcraft,” is scheduled for release via Prosthetic Records on June 10. To further the excitement, the band has unveiled a third track from the album, “Lungrunners,” which can be streamed exclusively at Pitchfork — which hails its “swing, riffs and hellbent determination”.
Recorded with unspoken fifth member and longtime friend Kurt Ballou (Skeletonwitch, Converge), “Blissfucker” was lauded as “a career highlight” by Metal Injection. Vocalist Ryan McKenney described the album as “heavy and loud and bitter. Some songs are fast, some songs aren’t, but all the songs are awesome and we wouldn’t change one thing.”
TRAP THEM have also announced a limited-edition 7-inch release of “Blissfucker” opening track “Salted Crypts” (listen HERE) on single-sided 7″ vinyl (limited to 200 copies worldwide) as well as an extremely limited hand-screened 7″ picture disc (limited to just 100 copies worldwide).
