Washington hardcore pack END OF DAYZ shares debut EP “Searching For A Way Out”

1 min read

The Washington-based hardcore quintet END OF DAYZ has officially released their debut EP, Searching For A Way Out, through Creator-Destructor Records and Code Of Conduct. This EP marks a significant milestone for the band, formed just before the world shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

END OF DAYZ came together in early 2020, a period marked by unprecedented global upheaval. Shortly after releasing their debut demo and playing their first show, the COVID-19 lockdowns began. Despite the isolation and challenges, the band persisted, releasing a second demo in 2022 and writing the tracks that would become Searching For A Way Out.

Described by the band as “a slow-burning process about our frustrations with life,” the EP delivers five tracks of no-frills hardcore.

END OF DAYZ channels their frustrations into an antagonistic delivery of slamming hooks and adrenaline-jacked breakdowns.

Their sound is a visceral nod to their foundational influences, which include hardcore legends such as MARAUDER, CROWN OF THORNZ, BIOHAZARD, KILLING TIME, MADBALL, KING NINE, 100 DEMONS, COLD AS LIFE, and FURY OF FIVE.

Searching For A Way Out was recorded by Jake Waggoner, with additional vocals recorded by Cameron Heck and Landon Boyd.

The EP was mixed by Andy Nelson at Bricktop Recording and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audioseige, ensuring a polished yet raw sonic experience.

The artwork, crafted by Professor D.E.D., complements the EP’s aggressive tone, with the logo designed by Caleb Sugiyama and layout by Ian Bouchard, who also contributed guest vocals.
