There is no clean new-era gloss around “Join Da Resistance“. Toxic Youth hit it like a band that still trust the old tools: fast drums, clipped crossover riffs, bass pushed up front, and earworm choruses that pump blood back into the room.
The Milan hardcore outfit have released the official video for “Join Da Resistance“, the sixth extract from “Still Hungry“, their latest full-length, out now on LP and digital via Time To Kill Records. The video premiered on July 2, 2026, almost a year after the album landed on July 11, 2025.
“Resistance never dies,” the band said around the video, tying the track to the same underground code that has kept them going across different versions of punk, hardcore, thrash, grind, and crossover.
Toxic Youth‘s own timeline reaches back to Milan hardcore in 1990, with the label noting that the band later disbanded in 2007 before returning in 2018 with drummer Hicham, who had also played with Calibro 9 and Cattiva Condotta. Since that return, they have supported Sick Of It All, Siberian Meat Grinder, Raw Power, and others, then came back on record with “Back To You-th” in 2020.
“Still Hungry” was written as the result of a long road rather than a quick comeback move. The band describe it as the mature end point of more than 30 years of chemistry, rehearsal-room work, and the same need to keep pushing their version of hardcore forward.
Compared with “Back To You-th“, the new record is more direct: the drums stay tight, the guitars cut hard, the bass does not sit politely in the back, and Ale’s vocals are there to drag the room into the chorus.

The current Toxic Youth line-up is Ale on vocals, Cristian on guitar, Novo on bass guitar, and Hicham on drums. “Still Hungry” was recorded at ADSR Decibel Studio in June and July 2024 by Carlo Meroni, known for work with All For Metal, Schizo, Gory Blister, Ulvedharr, and others. Lyrics were written by Alessandro Di Lallo, with music by Cristiano Perinelli.
The record also features Manuel Merigo of In.Si.Dia on guitar for “The First”, while the artwork was handled by Motorcity Graphics from Turin. That title, “Still Hungry”, is the cleanest summary of the whole thing.
Toxic Youth are clearly using the past as fuel to keep moving forward and evolve.
