Dr. Know of the legendary BAD BRAINS has announced that the band will release a new EP as a part of Woodstock Sessions to take place in Woodstock, NY in late May. The band will be supported by Jamaican singer Jesse Royal on vocals and will perform live in front of an audience of around 70 attendees. WOODSTOCK SESSIONS is honored to announce that Darryl Jenifer, Dr. Know and Earl Hudson of seminal punk/reggae legends BAD BRAINS will participate in an in-studio recording experience Saturday, May 30, 2015 on the farm at APPLEHEAD RECORDING in WOODSTOCK NEW YORK.
This day long event is a unique opportunity to be a part of history.
These legendary musical talents will be recording portions of the session for an upcoming release.
They will construct, record and overdub 2 new hardcore Bad Brains songs, followed by a jam with emerging Jamaican superstar vocalist Jesse Royal and a set of Bad Brains Dub Classics .
You will be a part of the process as your energy is added to the live recording session.
Attendees will have the rare opportunity to be with these heroes in the studio as they create.
Also included: A limited edition event poster designed specifically for the event, a t-shirt commemorating the day, 180g virgin vinyl of the album upon its release, specific thanks on the record and a gourmet Caribbean feast with the band!
