Two years since the closure of their monumental 3-part concept saga (“Naufragio Universale” (2010), “Il Sopravvissuto” (2013) and “La Malora” (2016)), Italian atmopsheric post hardcore act MARNERO are opening a new era called “Quando Vedrai Le Navi In Fiamme Sarà Giunta L’Ora”. Slated for an October release through Epidemic Records, Sangue Dischi, Dischi Bervisti, To Lose La Track, Shove Records, Sonatine Produzioni, and Controcanti, the new record just received a proper teaser in the form of an impressive new track and video called “A.C.H.A.B.”
“Quando Vedrai Le Navi In Fiamme Sarà Giunta L’Ora” marks a cooperation between 7 Italian labels, which have a long history of friendship and shared values with the band.
“Achab is the pain of a loss. Achab is the despair of the lack of something that can not be reached, and which therefore he desires. Achab is the sense of the emptiness of what is missing. Achab is the death he escaped from, but to tell us what? The desire to destroy causes the consequent need to build an enemy to destroy, a superior force to blame for our mutilations. In the end, in a cramp of self-celebration, Achab goes to meet his destiny, and his end.”
