Fresh off  band’s new full length record, Wasted Intimacy, out now on Counter Intuitive Records, Albany based indie alt rockers COUPONS are joining us today for a special premiere of their new music video for the cozy sounding, chilled out tune “Milk”, serving as a perfect treat for early Friday, before the storm of the weekend hits you hard later tonight.

Wasted Intimacy is a new take on the band, showcasing the talent of their 4 songwriters and the full record can be heard below.

Comments the band: “Milk is a song about tempering habitual behavior with that gut instinct everyone has but can’t bring themselves to totally trust, no matter how many times it’s told you I told you so. Filmed between downtown Albany and Papscanee Island Nature Preserve, videographer Adam Muro provides a serene visual narrative that invites viewers to come along for the ride.”

“While Coupons’ back catalog is full of great music, Wasted Intimacy finds the band at their best yet, playing off each other perfectly. There are probably more guitar solos than before, but nothing feels cluttered here and it’s impressive that a band with four different songwriters can put together an album that feels so much like a singular vision. The band is so tight musically and there is so much worth reflecting on lyrically, that you really should not skip this record.” / GetAlternative

“Throughout the duration of Wasted Intimacy, listeners are met with catchy lyrics, and songs seemingly perfect for the stage.” / NYSMusic

“There’s plenty to love and enjoy on this endearing third record by Coupons that pays heavy homage to emo and alternative rock bands that share the crowded scene with them. While the band does cover some collective new ground in their songwriting journey found on Wasted Intimacy, I still feel like the best is yet to come for this talented group of musicians.” / Chorus.fm

“While the musical styles and tempos vary throughout, the songs are all based around solid and layered instrumentation, big melodies, pop structure and sing along hooks with strong vocal delivery.” / ReleaseWave
