Becoming-River – Turkish instrumental post rockers PANØPSIS premiere new track

1 min read

After a successful year of  promoting their work with debut EP and one extra follow-upsingle, Instambul based independent and DIY instrumental post-rock band PANØPSIS are back with a new track called Becoming-River, and we’re pleased to give you its first listen below.

If the elements at play feel pretty familiar for post rock, there’s a fresh energy imbued in this new progressive meets post rock track to keep it all feeling really lively.

The band comments:

We inspired from the motion of rivers while composing this song. So it embodies the nature of a river; sometimes dynamic and energetic, sometimes calm and quiet, and, of course, unexpected. That’s why we named it as “Becoming-River”.

Mix and master by Sezgin Çelik / Art by Doga Eroglu.

Panøpsis is an Istanbul-based instrumental post-rock band. Before the band formed in 2018, Sezgin Celik (guitar & keyboard), Huseyin Iflazoglu (guitar) and Umut Sah (bass guitar) has been creating music together in various projects since 2011. By giving the lead role to guitar and keyboard melodies which are enriched with electronica elements, they intend to create an atmospheric music. After Ethem Saran (drums) has joined, the band took its current shape. Debut EP of the band, More-Than-Human-World, was released on March 16, 2019. In the same year they have released a new single; “Solitude of the Forest” (July 30). Titles of the albums and songs are inspired by a non-human-centered perspective. Logo and album artworks are also created from this point of view by Doga Eroglu.
