Tallinn, Estonia and Moscow, Russia based grinding crust / metallic hardcore quartet minus.mensch have just unveiled their uber-heavy debut LP “Никогда не Возвращаться” and we’re thrilled to give you its proper presentation below!
More extreme than most of the metallized hardcore offerings you’ve heard this year, minus.mensch is a flawless display of ultra-violent, bursts of raw aggression. The band’s unnerving debut effort sets the bar for what their sound is and suggests they should come a long way in the coming years if they keep improving and exploring these dark realms of metal and hardcore.
Lyrically, here’s what the band said about the content behind “Никогда не Возвращаться” (“Never Come Back”):
This entry talks about love and its inside, on this release we took love and passed it through a meat grinder. All the opposite of love that we were able to survive and go through the difficulties associated with this: betrayal, suicide, blind faith, jealousy, disrespect for each other, inability to listen and understand, lack of compromise.
Also in this album we turn to the themes of religion and the system, trying to draw people’s attention to the terrible propaganda: political and religious that we are seeing at the moment. The name of the album tells you that you don’t need to return to the bad, to the traitors and the past that you cannot let go of, there is nothing good in it and this is the road to nowhere, album title about this.
The band features members of Ognemöt (SWE, EE), Naska (RU) and Deep Blight (RU). “Никогда не Возвращаться” LP was tracked at Pentagram House Studio in Moscow last year. Mixing and mastering was done by Igor Ovcharenko from Samara (RU), and the whole thing has been decorated with an intriguing cover by Ingrid ltzmr from Pärnu (EE).
