Chicago’s hardcore band, Buggin, renowned for their in-your-face style and infectious grooves, has dropped their debut album, “Concrete Cowboys,” via Flatspot Records.

The band collaborated with producer Andy Nelson and Brad Boatright for mastering, delivering 12 captivating tracks. The album name stems from a song on their 2019 demo, featuring a blend of reworked and new tracks, laced with a dash of humor and everyday realities.

Buggin emphasizes growth, authenticity, and fun as the underlying principles of their music, steering clear of trends.

The album infuses more lighthearted elements with poignant messages conveyed by vocalist Bryanna Bennett on tracks like “Hard 2 Kill,” an empowerment anthem, and “Not Yours,” which tackles the tokenization of women and non-binary individuals in the hardcore scene.

The album is available for streaming, digital purchase on Bandcamp, and vinyl through Flatspot Records. Buggin, composed of Bryanna Bennett, Dewey Hendrik, Peyton Roberts, and Michael Rasmussen, will be touring Europe this summer, with scheduled performances at various festivals and events.
